Hello,
Just trying to pick the brains of my fellow BL members here. I’m primarily a weekend warrior type of backpacker, not an alpinist or anything crazy. That being said, I do like to do deep shoulder season trips in the Whites of NH, the Dak’s in NY state, and going forward plan to do a late summer August/September backpacking trip each year out in the Cascades of WA and RMNP , Colorado. I also do AMC hut overnights in the winter here back east. I have a UGQ 20 Top quilt that serves me well, but I was maybe interested in a 2nd quilt or hybrid bag/quilt for colder temps. I have my eye on the EE Conundrum but all I’m seeing is poor reviews of their baffle system and to stay away. Is it still really that bad? I’ve splurged on a WM Kodiak before but sold it as I couldn’t justify the cost and really hardly ever needing that much bag. I have no interest in layering two quilts and or a bag. So I was thinking the WM Badger/Versalite for a bag or a EE Conundrum. I am afraid the Versalite might be too narrow as I’m 6’3, 225 lbs. Any recommendations for late August /Sept out west and deep fall in NE and winter overnights in an AMC hut with minimal heat?
Thanks
