Hello,

I acquired this tent without tent poles. does anyone else have this tent? I would like to know

  1. Main pole: full length, number of segments, length of each segments if they vary, and grommet size. Is there a precurved segment(s)? where is the curvature (namely how many segments from the door end.
  2. U shaped pole: same q.
  3. pictures, closeups would be fantastic
  4. (width 7.5mm per REI)

I have many Aluminium tent poles that are thin enough from previous tents, that I can put together and can start measuring if I cannot find the exact info here. The other choice is to order from tentpole technologies (they likely have the info, and the components to replace the poles… just dont have the $ right now to spend).

Also, are people using this tent, and is it worth putting in the effort to get this tent working or does it have fatal flaws. I have read reports that it is small, and at the backend, the tent walls touch the sleeping bags..

I notice that Easton has gone bye bye, so not much info available.

Franco!  Thanks for the info & observations.

I might have to talk with the Tentpole Technologies guys to build an arc Aluminium pole.

Or I could try to homebuild a 7 section Aluminium (.340) poles and arc it into place?

The carbon poles are likely to be  17 or 18 inches (http://tentpoletechnologies.com/?page_id=631) long.

Weight penalty is not much in just using .340 Easton Aluminium poles.

I would try to make my own if I already had spare bits (I do…)
Those 7.5mm CF poles were not particularly safe if not handled with care all of the time.
