E6000 glue as a fabric seam sealer?

I had never used E6000 glue before but I recently picked up a tube and I’ve been using it on a few glue projects. It dries very quickly and seems to provide a nice flexible bead with good adhesion. My main seam sealing glue has always been aquaseal, but the tube neck is very wide so doing precise applications requires a different tip which ends of wasting some of the glue due to the volume of the tip. It also cures incredibly slowly. But the results are unmatched in terms of durability, flexibility, and sealing performance.

Has anyone here used E6000 extensively as a fabric seam sealing adhesive?

The fabrics I use are sil-coated.  One review states, “E6000 is not silicone-based,.” and the manufacturer does not list anything with silicone surfaces in its list of what can be bonded.  So I think I’ll have to pass on it.

Also, there is the question of fumes; but that could be addressed by using a gas mask, and only bonding with it outside in fair weather.

I sewed some Xpac VX21 scraps together and put a bead of E6000 along the inner and outer seams. It cured quickly, seemed to bond nicely to the fabric face, had some penetration into the stitch holes, and did not fail in any noticeable way when I stressed the seam. It appears to be a good possible choice for non-sil fabrics.
