Paid $318 when purchased at end of 2025.
I put it up once inside my house, and have now decided it is not going to work for my expedition. (Got an X-Dome instead.) Still has tags on it and though it is more wrinkly than when I got it, is otherwise pristine and has not been touched. Stakes included.
Will sell for $275 and I will pay shipping.
Mar 5, 2026 at 3:53 pm #3848658I’m looking to purchase a Durston X-Mid 1 in good condition. I’m primarily backpacking in the Sierra and hoping to reduce pack weight while maintaining comfort and weather protection.
If you have one you’re considering selling, I’d appreciate seeing a few photos:
• tent pitched
• interior floor
• ridgeline seam
• vestibule zipper
• corner stake points
Mar 6, 2026 at 4:51 pm #3848706Hi Alan – I can put it up tomorrow in the backyard and take the photos you’re requesting. (It’s snowing right now so I want to wait for better weather.) It’s in perfect condition since I only put it up in my living room previously with piles of books as stakes. Would love for someone to have it and use it – I regret getting the wrong one for the conditions I’m expecting, which is the only reason for selling it. If you don’t mind waiting until tomorrow, I’ll get those photos to you. Thanks!
Mar 6, 2026 at 9:59 pm #3848716KC – Thanks for your prompt and gracious offer to set the tent up and take photos. I really appreciate it.
After thinking about it more today, I’ve realized I’m probably better off starting with the X-Mid 2 rather than the 1 for my first trip, so I don’t want you to go to the trouble of setting it up on my account.
This is my first foray into backpacking in 45 years, and I now feel the extra room is worth the slightly more weight.
Best wishes, Alan
Thanks again for your willingness to do that, and I’m sure someone will be happy to pick it up. I appreciate the kindness.
Mar 10, 2026 at 9:56 pm #3848848Would you sell it without the groundsheet?
Mar 11, 2026 at 5:09 pm #3848864Hi Jeff-I’d like to sell it all together since I have no use for the groundsheet. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
