I’ll be in Durango June 12-15, I’ve never hiked in SW Colorado and I’m pretty excited. Anyone have suggestions for hikes around that area, in the San Juans perhaps? Ideally I would love to do an overnight trip at lower elevations, nothing too high as I realize snow will be a factor. Coming from California, I’m used to permits for the Sierra, it looks like I don’t need one for an overnight for the San Juan’s, is that right?
Thanks folks.
