Dumb question: How to ship a Bearikade?

If it can handle a bear attack….

BTW…I’m interested and will accept any scratches incurred during shipment.

No. But I would (and do) always add bubble wrap (hate those damn peanuts) if there’s extra room in the box to keep it from moving around.

It was shipped to me in the original cardboard box from Bearikade with no additional material. It arrived unscathed.

You can mail a bear canister as-is, no box or wrapping. Just put the label right on it. The post office will mail a potato with a label slapped on it, so it can handle a bear canister, and in fact, it was the post office that told me I could just put a label on my bear canister, no box necessary.

I used a cheap, but stiff Duck brand cardboard box from Walmart just to get rectangular dimensions for shipping and keep prying eyes off my goodies.  Also had a thicker baselayer bundled around it to do the switch from the SoCal desert to the Sierra.
