    Slowly assembling a pack rafting kit:

    Is there any reason why DriDucks pants would be unsuitable as a pack rafting lower shell?

    They are baggie and I have no problem pulling them above my navel while keeping enough length to tuck the cuffs into neoprene socks.

    The dri ducks pants are not very durable. I think that shifting around and butt sliding along the packraft fabric will put a lot of stress on the pants and could eventually rip them. Also packrafting often involves bushwacking to portage. One sharp stick crossing a fallen tree and they are done for.
