My wife and I are looking for a two-person sleep system for colder seasons. We will be backpack hunting in Colorado in the last week of October. We are from Texas so we are not familiar with the weather but am thinking that we should be prepared for 20f nights.  My wife is a cold sleeper. I am looking at Big Agnes – King Solomon 15 or maybe Nemo Tango with liners to add warmeth.  All advice would be appreciated.

Sleeping bags, quilts, yeah, sure.
Get some GOOD airmats (R5 or higher), preferably with built-in pumps. They are just as important.

Cheers

Stephanie and I use the Nemo Tango Duo (we have the wide version so we use wide pads and spread out a bit) with the base sheet, which holds our two Nemo Tensor wide pads in place. For cold temps, we then bring our own liners (down quilts), because she sleeps cold and I sleep hot so we need different liners :)

It’s the most comfortable shared bed we’ve used. The whole thing works very well as an integrated system. Also versatile and adaptable to our own comfort levels like temp and pad inflation levels.

The only downside to the Tango is that it doesn’t use state of the art materials like the lightest fabrics and down fill. But the design is so good it’s been well worth the extra weight for us, and now that I know I’m happy with the design, I just may build my own version with lighter materials…
