Double ended dry bag

Wow, that’s crazy light!  Great job.  I saw the thread title and thought the two ends were for better access like for food or clothing.

Bikepackers often use the double ended Drybag for a handlebar bag (although you’d want somehting more abrasion resistant), but for the same reason, if you have something strapped crosswise, it’s nice to be able to stuff the bag from both sides, to keep it evenly balanced both in weight  and in firmness.

Yeah, the .51 DCF is more of a lightweight material than would be practical in the long run.
I wasn’t sure if anyone made a double ended drybag already. Apparently, they have.

I did find the dule end dry bags for bikes. Who knew.

I wonder how this would work strapped to the side of a backpack for layers or misc small things, in lieu of lower side pockets.

Chris, why would you want a double ended bag if you have it strapped vertically?
the only reason I see for a double ended bag is to balance the load left to right for horizontal carry.

For vertical carry, I’d just take a single ended bag. Lighter and easier to make, and no risk of stuff falling out the bottom.

No, you’re probably right. Just spitballing. Was thinking you wouldn’t have to pull out everything to get to that one thing on the bottom… I sometimes have more room to strap things to the sides of my pack than top or bottom.
