Your pitch looks good. The only thing I would suggest is to make sure those ends struts are angled inward a bit. You’ll get better end tension that way.

…make sure those ends struts are angled inward a bit.
I might suggest always being explicit about this:Â it’s the bottom of the strut that should be angled inward, right?
Yes, bottom angled inward. It’s somewhat free to move whereas the top is fixed to the fly.
I took the Dipole out to Desolation this past weekend with some strong wind gusts and the shelter barely moved even without peak guylines used. It was the best a tent has performed for me so far in the wind. I was able to get the rectangle set up much better by moving the shockcord from the guyline loop at the corner stake to the actual corner of the tarp. I didn’t notice any size difference of the inner tent because of this lesser tension but it did make the zippers harder to use (not able to open/close with one hand). So I think I might put linelocs on the corner of the inner tent and replace the shockcord with guylines to keep it loose when I pitch the tarp but then tighten up after that.
I’m also trying to figure out the door lineloc clip. I have a hard time getting it onto the webbing loops. I think I might prefer just adding a different line loc on the door(s), or two small guyline loops tied there since they would be easier to hook onto, especially when well tensioned to the door stake.
