DCF fabric UV resistance

Apologies if this question has been asked/answered before.

DCF fabric is said to be “UV resistant”. Is it possible to improve the UV resistance with aftermarket products (Nikwax, 303, etc.) or will the fabric not absorb them?

Thanks in advance.

I am always suspicious of the word ‘resistant’… if a rain jacket is advertised as water ‘resistant’, I just figure that is marketing and it is not water proof. I don’t know the science but I figure all tents will have shortened lifespans if left out in the sun.

I would be VERY cautious about putting any chemical on your DCF fabric… potentially could damage.

what Piper said…do not leave it in the sun.
