i have a piece of cuben hybrid that previous owner bought directly from cubic tech. it has a white poly or nylon backing, and a front film that feels more rubbery than mylar (it stretches and isn’t crinkly like mylar). the whole fabric is pretty heavy. much heavier than the 2.92oz hybrid that zpacks sells. it feels a bit like x-pac vx21 or maybe a bit heavier.
i have two questions.
1. does anyone have a guess about what kind of laminate this is?
2. how can i waterproof my seams? normal cuben tape barely sticks to the white woven side, and doesn’t stick at all to the glossy film side. is there another tape i can use? can i use seam sealer?

(Looks a bit like silicone in the photos.)Cheers
