We spent yesterday in Yosemite and had a great day. Only one wait, at the shuttle bus stop during mid-afternoon rush hour at Yosemite Falls, but a great day[br][br](Any day you see a bobcat in the wild is a great day). At the risk of injecting politics into this discussion, that’s a lousy way to spend that money.
Relating it to your article is the enormous cost and effort that goes into collecting trash and reversing the damage after a holiday weekend in the Sierras.
I understand the need for a reservation system though I’ve always disliked it and go elsewhere. I wish there was a solution.
Some of the pictures coming out of Yosemite are horrifying. There needs to be a better solution than a free-for-all. Natural resources need to be protected first, even at the expense of convenience.
