I accidental left a wet towel with my stove and there is a bit of corrosion around the base/igniter/midsection of my Soto Windmaster. Has this happened to anyone before? Any tips on how to clean it up?

A bit of steel wool or emery cloth will take it off most of it. Â Every a scrubbie sponge – the green/blue scrub pad affixed to a cellulose sponge, will do pretty well on it.
Dry well before storage. Â Put a small spot of vegetable oil on that area to reduce how much it rusts in the future (I’m not sure if it was a plated part and the surface coating has been weakened – then the oil helps) or if it was just not a very stainless steel (too much iron, not enough chromium and nickel – in which case storing it dry and not letting brines get on it should suffice without any oil).
