Title says it all, I’m trying to find someone who uses the Coros Apex for backpacking and get their feedback.

I plan my hikes in Gaia and usually use my smart phone to check route, pace etc. I’d rather use a watch for convenience. So being able to transfer the route from Gaia to the watch is valuable, as is battery life and accuracy. The Coros models seem targeted to runners, and I can’t find a lot of reviews about the navigation capabilities. And there’s a fair amount of “why are my tracks all over the place?” type questions on  their own website.

I’m really only interested in this brand and model. I know there’s love for the Ambit3 but Suunto has abandoned it for all practical purposes and I don’t need a $600-900 watch with touch screen, music, Netflix etc to do what I want. Other than my inReach mini, I’ll never buy another Garmin product based on past customer experiences.
