I’ve been using a primus white gas stove for many years and the mat tore. What is a good sturdy replacement option? Anybody just use a ccf pad to cook on?

I’m trying to decide on this too, but for remote canister with a wind screen. I am looking at a heavy foil/pie pan or carbon felt. No idea how much heat a CCF pad can take. I’d worry about melting it.
I’d worry about the ccf being to unstable and possibly melting
These weight 2oz and melt at 324deg

It’s been awhile since I was using white gas. I had a dragonfly specifically for snow camping and had MSR’s platform to keep the narrow legs from melting/sinking into the snow. It didn’t seem particularly fireproof, and wouldn’t need to be, but with a larger pot and enclosed windscreen there will be downward heat. The MSR foil windscreen comes with a foil disk, which may be enough. Carbon fiber would definitely work in my mind. I’ve since changed over to canisters, and do have a ccf disk for the canister, but I don’t think that applies here.
I would do the carbon fiber DIY and/or get the MSR foil kit and see if either or both is adequate before getting fancier.
