Chinese Knock Off Tents, anyone try them

I was shopping for a “value oriented” free standing tent for trips with my two young sons.  Our trips are more of camping trips than true back packing trips, for which I also have a Big Agnes Scout (that I’m so-so pleased with).  I didn’t want to take a 20lb car camping tent, but for 1-2 mile hikes weight isn’t supper critical.

Anywho, I was looking at 3-4 man tents when I stumbled upon gearbests tent selection.   On that site I found a couple really cheap 3-4 man dome tents but what really caught my eye was what looks to be a Big Agnes Fly Creek 2 knock off for ~$45 from nature hike that really caught my attention.

I don’t think I’d risk buying one and then taking straight out on an extended trip, but for occasional trips with kids I’m tempted.  Has anyone tried any of the Chinese knock off tents?  If so what has been your experience.

Fly Creek 2 knock off $68 (was $45 yesterday) 1.5 Kg ~3.3 lbs

I can’t comment on the tents, but I do have some NatureHike dry bags that I use when kayaking and they work great and good quality.

If you do get one try it close to home so you can bail out if needs be. You could always pitch it in a garden if you have one and give it a hose test.
