Good weight, fairly cheap for what you get.

Ian: My Trail Co runs those sales several times a year, I assume when they get a new shipment of gear in from China, or are short on cash.  Some will feature puffier, some will focus on packs, some are broader.  To the point that anyone who watches their prices wouldn’t pay full price for anything because it’ll be 30-60% off within a few months.

Just finding such a pack under 1 lb seems impossible. My Trail has the 30L on sale for $39 but has no pockets and most of the other recommendations are over $100. However I found this for $17 and it seems to fit the bill at 12.7 oz.

And I found this 45L, 13.8 oz, for $23.

One more; 40L, 15.6 oz, $19.

As another suggestion, I love the Granite Gear Virga 26. 16 oz, and lighter if you ditch the hipbelt or chop some straps (personally dont like the straps across the front).
