I’m frugal and have been wearing the 3/4 length Superfeet Dress Insoles for over a decade with great success. The tops of them wear like iron and the plastic that gives the insole its shape hasn’t budged:

These days I am trying new trail runners that don’t have a lot of room in them. I noticed the Carbon Insoles have the same 30mm arch height as the ones I currently use and I’m thinking of switching:

My frugal self cringes at the price and I don’t think the upper of the carbon insoles will last as long as what I have now. Does anyone know if the carbon itself underneath the upper is smooth such that I could apply some spray-on adhesive and glue on another upper of my choice? Many thanks!
