Anyone have a preference? Want to use something for belaying two seconds simul primarily on 4 and easy 5th class.
Theyre basically the same
on thicker ropes the mammut alpine smart works better on autoblock
just be aware of the possible autoblock failure modes
;)
Got an ova. Like it well for easy 4 and 5th class. A bit fiddly for rappelling but works well with two carabiners for the brake.
A Petzl Reverso 4 has basically the same weight as the CAMP ovo (58g vs 59g; 1 g difference), and in my opinion a much better handling. I dont see any reason to take those old-school plates.
