Calibration Question

I was unable to import .fit files from the Suunto app on my phone into TRIPS. I tried various permutations, but it appears that Suunto may do something proprietary with the format. So much for standards. I exported GPX track files and converted them to .fit format with a python script. They loaded fine into TRIPS. I’m now having some difficulty getting a good fit with the models. What’s the recommended sample size for a calibration data set?

Hi Greg – start here for considerations when building a calibration dataset.

As for the Suunto FIT issue, email me a sample file and I’ll take a look.

Caveat with exporting GPX and then converting to FIT is that you’ll likely lose your HR data.
