Planning a hike of the BRT the first week of April but wondering what sorts of water crossings we’ll have to tackle.  We’ll be heading East bound, starting at Boxley and I know we have one right out of the gate there.  Another one across Steel Creek and I’m guessing it’s the one we’ll need to be most concerned about.  The river level itself had been dropping (currently very low at Boxley) but it appears they’ll be getting 2-3 in of rain between now and then.  I’ve talked to a couple of outfitters and I’m getting conflicting info.  Any advice?

There’s a shallow crossing right after you cross the road at Boxley, Steel Creek is anywhere from rock-hopping to mid-thigh deep, and maybe Beech Creek before the climb up to Slaty Place. Pretty much all you should be concerned with.

Thanks Tim.  Crossing our fingers for a rock-hop but not counting on it.  Thigh-high on me would be waist-high on my wife!
