I saw the Scout Shop sells a 50L 3lb framed pack for $100. I am wondering if anyone has tried one out and if they have any comments. I am trying to get equipment for my kids on the cheap. It seems light a decent buy.

One thing is the pack gives no torso length range, so may not fit everybody? I would look further.

I saw the pack in person last night at our local scout shop. It looks like a decent light weight pack. The hip belt and shoulder straps don’t have much cushioning. It does have an adjustable torso length though I still don’t know it’s range. The biggest issue was it’s size. It looked significantly smaller than the 50L osprey packs they also had at the shop. It looked very comparable to the 35L packs. The 70L BSA pack looked similar in size to the osprey 50L bags.
