Hi there,
I want to buy a new bivy for low footprint camping and am currently looking at some options:
Rab Alpine Bivy (Pertex Shield Air), 440g
Rab Ascent (Event), 625g
OR Helium, (Pertex Shield+), 476g
OR Stargazer, AscentShell, 540g
I currently tend towards the Helium. While being very lightweight, it still looks roomy and has nice features. However, I’m unsure about the fabric choice. AscentShell, according to reviews, seems to be quite good. I assume that the ventilation features are equally important, though. I’m also not sure if roomy is better than narrower regarding condensation, as there is less humid air if there is no space.
This review is very positive: https://www.outdoorgearlab.com/reviews/camping-and-hiking/bivy-sack/outdoor-research-helium-bivy
Other comments not as much: https://www.reddit.com/r/Ultralight/comments/nfwu7f/ultralight_alpinists_what_is_your_setup_for_bivys/gyp39y1/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=web2x&context=3
How and what would you choose?

Edit: Found this table as well: https://www.swiss-ultralight.com/en/blog/gore-tex-pro-vs-ascentshell-futurelight-event-and-co/
This seems to support the reviews against the Helium and for the Stargazer
Thank you very much!
