I’m not overly sophisticated or knowledgeable about fabrics and fleeces, but did notice that our local Target isn’t carrying their bargain fleece (Champion?) this year. Â Is this true everywhere or just a local phenomenon?

< have some of the AirCore stuff. It’s pretty good. Supposedly 20% more insulation efficiency per slightly less weight as regular, micro fleece. Don’t know if that’s true or not–if the fibers are the same thickness range between the regular micro and the air core, then it’s likely fairly accurate.>
Justin- Â is there different types of aircore? Â I only tried a cheapo lands end aircore…and I’d say it feels maybe 30% less warm than regular 100wt. Â (Non scientific guess). Â Any specific brand recommendations? Â I don’t see the usual suspects carrying it….will keep lookin.
I was referring to the Land’s End stuff. Â To be honest, i didn’t feel much difference either way between that and a regular 100 wt fleece. Â For such thin, non lofty fabrics, with about equal thickness, the human body probably can’t detect a 20% difference in thermal efficiency unless you’re talking about convective heat loss. Â It’s possible that the air core stuff is more breathable than regular fleece.
Dunno- it would need to be tested by someone who knows how to do that stuff.
