I’m planning a trip in the Beartooths this summer starting at the end of July, around the 27th-29th. I’m planning to backpack through the plateau along the chain of lakes from Jasper to Aero. I’m curious if anyone here has insight into the snowpack the beartooths have experienced this year and whether end of July could be reasonable to get out there. I appreciate any insight/advice. My hope is to avoid the need for any crampons/ice axe. Microspikes are welcome.
