Bear Spray Storage Temps?

I left some in a storage locker over the winter in Alaska. Seemed fine in the summer. I think i actually fired it off successfully (i do that with old cans sometimes).

A more vital question is whether it would work if you saw a bear out on a cold fall day. A chest harness and keeping it inside your jacket is an option.

Edit – Extreme heat in a car is probably more of a risk. I didn’t want to find out so I kept it wrapped up in clothes in a shady part of the car (in the trunk if i hadto leave it).
