Hi. Not sure if this is the right place to post my question but here goes.  I am 68 soon to be 69 and  have scoliosis which has gotten worse in the last 20 months.  I just got fitted with a ScoliBrace.  It won’t straighten my spine but will stop the progression.  Has anyone in the group hiked with this type of brace?  I love backpacking and don’t want to give it up.  The brace is hot by itself. I have to wear it for 12-16 hours a day.   I can sleep in it but it’s cumbersome so adding it to my pack weight will be a bummer.  I’d have to carry it on the top of my back.  Suggestions??

What’s it weigh?

Does it open so you could “wear” it around your pack as though your pack were your torso?

I’m assuming it’s too bulky to wear it while you hike and wear the pack over it?

I’m trying to post a picture but can’t seem to. It’s about 2 lbs 3 oz. It’s made out of some kind of composite.

There is a picture of one on ScoliBrace. I have the bigger one.
