Hi all,
We’re trying to make plans for our spring break (last week of March), and had the idea to try an early season backpacking trip. We’ve got small kids, so go ~4 miles a day (3-4 days at most), and have zero tolderance for post-holing, etc. We live on the front range, and all of Colorado is too cold, so we’re wondering about New Mexico. We’ll be driving, so that’s are only real geographic limitation. However, I know nothing about parks, wilderness, etc. south of Colorado. Any suggestions for areas, trails, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
(of course we’ll check the weather carefully and bail if anything is looks bad).
Thanks!
