Does anyone make a lightweight underquilt for backpacking chairs like the helinox zero? I’ve see that helinox and big agnes (annoyingly) make insulation you put on the side you sit on, which are both (relatively) heavy, and conceptually you’re gonna sit on it and ruin the R value. Backpacking chairs are hammock-like, so an underquilt makes sense. REI once made an underquilt (here), but they appear to have stopped.

Looks very warm, but unfortunately, it’s pretty heavy, around 10oz (well, it says 274g in one place but they say 13oz in the video so… I dunno, but both numbers are heavy), not worth the weight compared to 2 Z-seats for 4 oz. The REI one was 6oz, and pretty sure if an actual quilt brand made one, it would be more like 4-5oz.
Have Nunatak make a custom one? You could spec it exactly the way you want.
Use a 1/8″ CCF pad?

I just use my sit pad, which I always carry whether I take the chair or not. It’s a 12×18 piece of Walmart blue foam (~1.8oz).

@matthew k – interested in what secondary uses for that piece of reflectix you have found. Â I’m thinking it might be a good under-torso addition to the sleep mat in colder temps.
