I just started using HydroBlu Versa filter with the carbon attachment. It served a group of three well on a recent 4 day hike. Even with the carbon attachment the flow rate is quite reasonable.
I have the carbon filter attachment screwed on at all times. For backflushing, I have been removing it as the membrane appears fragile. However, removing it has quickly become a bit of a hassle, and increases the contamination risk. Should the carbon attachment be backflushed as well? Is it safe to just keep the carbon attachment on and backflush as a unit?
Cheers,
Niko Z.
