So did anyone get surprised with an awesome outdoor-related Christmas gift?
I certainly wasn’t expecting much of anything this year, especially since all our efforts go to the kids these days.
But my fabulous wife got me a beautiful coffee table book on the life of the fabric artist & tent maker, Bill Moss.
Being an illustrator herself, she couldn’t put the thing down. Edit: She especially loved his tent on display at the MOMA:

For anyone who is remotely intrigued with the design & construction of beautiful outdoor forms toward creating shelter, it’s a wonderful read. And to think most of his “advancements” occurred almost 50 years ago, it ‘s down right amazing.
If Bill were only around nowadays to work with today’s materials (carbon fiber, cuben fiber, dyneema etc…)
