Saw one in the store yesterday and I’m intrigued.

I bought the hybrid after reading Dave’s review. I wear it with a Patagonia capilene base layer and a R2 hoody.
Although I am wearing it in moderate mid 30’s south carolina weather, I agree with his assessment. It works well when you are active; your front is insulated as you move forward and it seems to vent out the back as designed. You need to realize you cool down quickly when you stop moving. ( I bring a puffy in my pack and put it on under the hybrid when I am stationary.
I can’t say how it would be in much colder conditions. It appears to work well when you are active and moving.
My wife wears hers often and loves it. I cant remember exactly, but i know that with a tshirt under it she hikes from about 55f down to 40f or something. It has a nice wide temp range. I wish i could remember the temps better, but i remember being amazed at how big the swing was. She doesnt think it cools down too fast on breaks enough to use a puffy unless we take an extended break.
I would guess that its the most versatile piece of clothing for her for shoulder seasons/ winter travel.
Thanks, everyone. Hoping I can find a used one.
I’ve used both the Nano Air Jacket and Nano Air Light Hoody during BC Nordic skiing in the past 7 days.
I over heated in ~5F, w/ 5-10mph wind, in the Nano Air. I overheated at 15F, w/ 5-10mph, in the Light.
I can hike comfortably in 50F with a tank top.
Really looking forward to the new Nano Air Light Hybrid full Jacket as a cooler option.
I have a Nano Air and it’s a wonderful piece of kit. Got it on super duper mega sale from the Patagonia Outlet, and it is worth every penny. I prefer it over the Nano-Air Light because I think half zips are a pain. Also check your sizing on the Nano-Air Light because it runs mega slim on me.
I saw the hybrid model recently and it’s very tempting, but I got the Dynafit Beast Hooded Insulated Jacket last season it falls into that same niche, dual contraction design.
Bumping this thread. Anyone have experience with the Nano-Air Light Hybrid since it’s re-release?
This still pisses me off that Patagonia would discontinue the Nano-Air Light Hoody. I have two new ones stashed in my gear closet. For spring and shoulder seasons in the Bob this piece is perfect. I tried the Hybrid and im not a fan.
Rusty,
Have you tried the Patagonia Worn Wear site?
