I have been searching and am not seeing much available. I am wondering if someone has a good brand they suggest.

Thanks,

Lowell

I really like the Danner Boots and have been hiking in their 2650’s for a couple of years now.  They got their start making old-school full leather hiking boots (they still do) and they actually have a full-grain leather low-cut boot:  The Mountain Overlook

+1 for Danner.  I can’t say if they will work for you, but they are top quality.  My all time favorite boot…when I wore boots :)

I tried a pair of desert boots. High topped but not stiff like many such boots. You can get minimal soles or more beak traditional style bottoms depending on your preference.
