Hello!

Im looking to get a set of Brynje super therms and am hung up on size choice.

I wear medium in tops and bottoms in most everything I own for casual and athletic wear. Medium thermals fit me snug but not restricted.

Ex: in Patagonia Cap thermals I use medium they are form fitting (I wouldn’t wear a tee this way) but I like the fit for base (mine are likely a tad stretched?). I can wear either Medium or Small in their Cap bottoms as I find those to have odd proportions. The bottoms I actually prefer to run in the Small.

Those 2 garments are the only exception I’ve found to my “Medium is always right preference.

I’m 6’2” roughly 175-180 pending on how much I ate.

I measure my chest at 41-41.5 and waist are 35-35.5.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thank you,

Andy

I’m 6 foot, 175lbs, 42.5 chest and 33 waist. Assuming my Wool Thermo Light set has a similar cut as the Super Thermo, I think the medium would give you a pretty nice snug fit. Mine feels just a touch tight across the chest, so I think a Large is not a bad option either, if you plan on growing still. I also got the bottoms in Small but found them a bit restricting

Either way I highly recommend buying the BRYNJE version that has knit panels on the shoulders and knees. This keeps the fishnet from making deep and likely soon uncomfortable impressions in your skin under the load of pack straps and when kneeling. A few extra $$ well spent.

As well I recommend wearing a light knit polyester T shirt or waist band so your pack hip belt does not push the fishnet pattern painfully into your waist and especially hips when wearing a frame pack..
