As if the wide toebox doesn’t make them look enough like clown shoes, they seem to have some of the most obnoxious color schemes on the market. I had a banana yellow pair of Lone Peak 2.0s that I got on closeout. I felt like Ronald McDonald’s hiking brother.
the aesthetics of hiking gear rarely matches my own. i’m clearly not the target demographic and i’ve made my peace with that. but the color scheme’s for the lone peak 3.0’s were next-level hideous. they’re so bad that i have to afford them some grudging respect, like the blobfish.
you’re right, the all-black will minimize the clown-iness a bit, good move altra!
