SMC does not seem to be making T-anchors. Does anyone know of a vendor who makes something similar?
Cheers,
Feb 5, 2022 at 7:45 pm #3739148REI sells a MSR snow/sand anchor in two sizes…

@ Erik. Thx. I remembered that some cottage manuf made clones of the SMC anchor but could remember who. $12.50 each is a little rich. SMC sold them 4 for $30 or $32.
Feb 8, 2022 at 2:33 pm #3739500Lawson equipment makes the aluminum ones, but are out of stock. I believe he used to make the titanium ones as well, but let dutchware gear produce those instead. You might email Lawson and see if he’s still manufacturing the aluminum ones
Feb 8, 2022 at 4:12 pm #3739512The Deuce could maybe work… but expensive…

Aluminum is cheap and easy to work… maybe have a sheet metal shop cut some pieces and make some holes… custom made
Feb 8, 2022 at 4:58 pm #3739560@ Erik. I just ordered some cord from Lawson Equipment. I did not see any anchors. He is out of stock on tent stakes too. But his 9in stake with a hole in the middle for a cord, when be excellent.
@ DWR. Appreciate the offer but I am not in the market for the anchor, just looking for where to send folks if they have an interest. I already have a set of 8. I am going to create some slides on snow camping for the Scouts and wanted to show examples ranging from home made to high end, and wanted to have where to buy on the slide.
Feb 8, 2022 at 6:55 pm #3739615I got some of these a while ago but didn’t get a chance to try out yet:
