Anybody have any XP with the Alpkit Hunka & Hunka XL bivvies?

https://www.alpkit.com/products/hunka

Not the lightest, but online reviews suggest its a good bivvy.for the price

Mostly looking for a waterproof, low profile bivvy for stealth camping & crashing for a few hours at race events. If the Miles Gear uber/pico wasn’t white, I’d pick one up, but I want a lower profile color

Not sure what the fabric/membrane is, if Event then not a bad price.  No side zip makes it harder to use but saves a bit of weight.  Have you looked at the Borah Gear Snowyside?  Also a good price but not as low as the Alpkit.

I’ve been using one of these for the last two years. It’s pretty good value, has never let rain in, not the most breathable but fine for one or two nights. Robust enough, I’ve observed no damage or wear having used it 30-40 times. Would definitely recommend as a first bivy.

I have the standard size one and have always used it with my sleeping mat on the outside. If you would prefer to have it inside I would suggest the XL would be a better choice.
