Hi, Had anyone got any feedback on after market down proofing products like Nikwax or Grangers wash in down water resistant . Do they make any difference. Worth using or not?.

I used Granger’s down care kit to wash my down sleeping bag
It did a good job of washing the bag. Afterwards it had good loft. I don’t know whether this would be better or worse than any cleaner for down.
I have no idea whether the down is more or less water resistant than before.
I also washed a waterproof breathable rain jacket. It seemed like the outside surface had improved rain resistance afterwards, better DWR performance.
