Planning a 2 night trip in the Adirondack Mountains. Plan on hiking the Haystacks and Mt. Marcy. Need some intel on 2 spots near there where we plan to camp. Most likely we will be rolling in later in the evening.. Slant Rock area and Bushnell Falls area.. forget the lean tos.. im wondering if there is any chance of hanging 2 hammocks in the vicinity. Would be nice to know ahead of time as no surprises after tough day hiking and getting there in the evening. Yes im familiar with rules and regulations of ADKs.. bear can.. yadda yadda .. just want to know if those to spots have trees to hang from or am I better off with bivy and tarp.

I have not been to the Slant Rock or Bushnell falls areas so not sure about luck hanging hammocks there, but I have a map that shows three designated campsites near the Slant Rock lean-to.
Not sure if this impacts your route planning, but there have been some pretty big mud slides recently that have closed the trail south from Marcy Dam through avalanche pass the western shore of Lake Colden and another slide into the Feldspar/Lake Arnold trail that you have to bushwack around.
The adk subreddit might be able to help
Thanks. Yeah im aware of the closed areas, my route is not affected by the land slides.
