Has anyone found or use a 3/8″ male/female adapter to leave on the Windpro II to keep the threads from wearing where it screws onto the canister?  Had issues last night with a couple near used up canisters I rescued from a thru hiker bin I was at in Washington.  Maybe the canister threads were about shot because the PO unscrewed the canister too many times?  A couple MSR ones and a Kovea.  Got home and threaded them on my Micro Rocket, then was able to attach them to my Windpro II.

The thread is actually 7/16″ UNEF.

Finding an adapter is complex as it must include an internal actuation pin to depress the Lindal valve in the canister. I had to MYOG as I could not find anything.

Cheers

Thank you, kinda what I thought, or cobble too many fittings.  Will have to be careful.
