Very impressive.

I've bern keeping up with it since it was posted. Plus some other blogs I follow mention it when the updates or news come out.

I just googled the most recent post on here since bpl is where I first heard of it.

They did start well before "winter". Still more brutal than I'd want.

I have Trauma's backpacking book and greatly respect the experience of both these men.

As a former Nordic and Alpine patroller and backcountry skier with Avy 1 certification I feel they are eminently suited for this expedition. I feel they will always make safe travel decisions and not "macho" through dangerous conditions.

Certainly if any two people can do it they can.

They reached Walker Pass a couple days ago. Which means they have made it through the High Sierra during the unseasonably non-wintry weather window and are practically home free. Still some mountains to deal with but mostly desert left.
