I've been reading this site for the last couple of years, the opinions, debates and reviews have helped me shed a lot of weight from my pack and choose gear that works for me and my environment. I'm now in the lightweight range, 15 pounds base weight in warmer weather, and have greatly increased my comfort both during the hike and in camp. You've also saved me a lot of money by helping me narrow down my choices.
The fact that there are so many geographical regions represented along with a surprising diversification in the way people enjoy the woods has been fascinating. Even some of your knock down drag out fights have been useful as it debates some interesting choices and philosophies.
