Hi all,
Looking for a specific piece. I have a lot of midlayers and they all have a collar. Stacking layers for cold hikes is a pain when I'm constantly fussing with keeping collars from laying flat on top of one another, sometimes under pack straps.
I also never zip my collars up all the way, ever.
So, is there a moisture-wicking midlayer (Softshell? Thick baselayer?) that has no collar, but retains the full zip?

I guess you were not looking for down. You can also buy a v-neck merino wool sweater from target or other dept stores.

I made my own. Bought a Melanzana crew neck Micro Grid pullover fleece, cut off the sleeves, and inserted a full length zipper. Simple, only weighs 6 ounces or so, and works well with a wind shirt.
The M65 jacket liner doesn't have a collar, and it's crazy cheap.
