All are invited. Trying to get a winter meet-up going. Overnight, weekend, week, whatever.

For those that don't know, the PRNLT is on many "life lists". It's spectacular in any season, and my All-Access pass will take care of any potential fees. Just show up and go for one of the best walks you'll find.

We could potentially check out the Grand Island ice caves as well, if we're up for it.

We're about a 6-hour drive from Chicago, and 5 hours from Detroit, up here. Snowshoes and a sub-zero bag are a must.

Let's do it. Don't let another year pass by…

Hi Vince,

When are you thinking if going? I have been on a couple of winter trips to Pictured Rocks with Bpl members and loved it.

One thing to note is the drive a good bit longer than you mention especially in winter.

Well, definitely not the first weekend in February…I'll be there that weekend, but I'll be climbing ice at the Michigan Icefest!

Late February would be perfect for me. But I'll still be on snowshoes till probably May…

I would have to agree. 6 hours from Chicago wouldn't get you much past Escanaba or Iron Mountain. An 5 hours from Detroit and you will have barely cleared the bridge.

Don't scrap the idea, there are plenty of Bpl folks within 5-6 hours drive
that may attend.

Yeah, I was just kidding anyways. Sarcasm is sometimes difficult to convey on the interwebs…
