Some of you may or may not of seen this floating about the web. Cool ideas.

How could you incorporate some of this into backpacking?

I use mine to carry water in, until they no longer carry water.

I have the awesome mental image of somebody lashing together all the sleeping pads, water bottles, and anything that holds air from a hiking group to make a packraft. Just bring some fishing line so you can pull it back across the river after each person crosses.

Which brings about a question – what's the minimum group size to have enough flotation for one person at a time without bringing extra flotation gear?

Packraft made from 2 liter bottles? Let's do it.

Sadly this makes me think of the young lady who was taking the milk carton boat down the Misssissippi. She did not survive the barge encounter.

I use them to make visor/hat brims-
    Generally- bigger bottles work best.

Also might be nice to use for all you mid building folks on your vents- hole punch the crap outta them if you like- but they don't weigh much more than weed whacker cord.
