Do any of you know if this new model has hand-warmer pockets?

I own the UL inner down, my brother has the thermawrap. When we compared them I thought they were roughly equivalent. I wish I had gone with the Alpine Light jacket.
G'Day
While we are going has anyone owned a cocoon ul and a alpine light jacket? if so how did they compare for warmth. I to am currently looking for a hightly compressible jacket but im a bit torn. The MB would be warm enough but would the cocoon ? and how compressable is the cocoon. Any help would be great.
My wife has both. I'll try to ping her and see what she thinks of the warmth. They both have hoods.
Her alpine light with hood, full zipper and handwarmer pockets weighs 1.6oz more than the hooded cocoon. My guess is she'll say it's a lot warmer.
Can anyone who has compared the Alpine Light to the WM Flight jacket comment on which one is warmer? From looking at the pictures, it seems like the Alpine Light has somewhat less loft than the Flight jacket, but then again the Alpine Light is heavier than the Flight.
I haven't used either, just tried them on, but the WM Flight definitely has more loft.
The downside of the WM, aside from the price, is that it the material can bleed feathers. When I was trying on a WM Flash Vest I found feathers trying to work their way out of the material.
Great jacket but too pricey for me. I have seen the MB Alpine Light jacket on sale in the spring for around $114, if I remember correctly.
Thanks for the offer on MB stuff. I am thinking of selling my UL down inner jacket and getting the alpine light jacket. The Japanese price is 30$ lower. How much of that gets eaten up by shipping to the US?
I'm sure that the Flight is quite warm as it does have more loft, but for the price the Alpine light jacket is awesome. I have no complaints through one season of use. I wrote a short review of it. The shell material may be a little more durable than the Flight, just an opinion.
The UL down parkas are now in stock in Japan. I have no idea why they were later in Japan than in the US. Anyway, cost is 14,800 yen. Thats about $128 but varies day by day. If someone wants/needs one from Japan Ill ship it. Insured airmail would be about $13 and then $10 for my train ticket and a beer. I do this of course to help my fellow BPLers, and I accumulate 'points' on my MB account which I can use to reduce the cost of my own purchases.
Its the orange example near the bottom of the page.

PM me if interested; but honestly, you could buy these stateside. Maybe only people in Canada with high import taxes would be interested.
Thanks Brett, though not much cheaper(for the US)when other costs are included. I am selling an UL down inner jacket (older model, no hood). See Gear Swap forum for more info. –jeff
