Thinking about doing a family trip for my mother's 60th this July. I have no idea what or where to go but I'm thinking about a week there plus a day before and after for travel time. We'll be coming from Los Angeles and flying directly up. My girlfriend and I are backpackers, my mother and brother not so much so we'll have to keep it near lodging and have a rental to get around, wouldn't mind if we chartered a plane to get to more remote areas. This is really open so i'm up for any suggestions that isn't too crazy.
