After all the yakking about UL pants, I've been looking at lighter options. Would you use the Golite Whim or Integral Designs Pertex wind pants? What are your experiences with either? I see both on sale right now at identical prices and weight.
The Whim is polyester/carbon blend and Pertex is nylon. It looks like neither has leg zippers, both are elastic waist with drawcord, and the Whim has a self-stowing pocket. I'd love to hear about comparable durability and breathability, fit issues, etc.
