I believe someone on here at one time mentioned Tyvek shoe/boot covers and I was wondering what ones anyone would suggest. Thank you.

I think you would need to treat them as 'consumables'.
Cheers
I picked up some at Home Depot in the paint section.
They have tyvek painters suits, and shoe covers.
They come in 2 packs. And work great over my FF down booties. It's a $3 investment.
Might give them a try see what you think.
Yes, I understand that but can't find any waterproof socks out there that fit me, so…
And thanks for the heads up, I might stop tonight or tomorrow.
My Home Depot did not have the Tyvek ones but just some breathable cloth ones that wouldn't stop anything. I might have to look online.
This is DriDucks type stuff, correct?

i have a tyvek boot cover, comes up to your mid calf, has a rubberized bottom. The sole is about a foot long. If you think that would work, PM me your address and I'll mail you a pair.
Would Tyvek be a good material to make some gaiters with?
Gordon, I have seen some MYOG tyvek gators but I cannot comment on longevity or performance. Again could be a wear issues. Seems like it would be OK for most other than bushwhacking. Even if they don't last you would have a pattern to use for the next pair with material of your choosing.

Where did you find tyvek boot covers with a rubberized bottom?
I've been reading this series ->
Which talk about tyvek booties for in camp and also for snowshoeing but would rather source some instead of MYOG them….
OK, lets say I was able to find some tyvek boot covers for snowshoeing…..is the concensus that they will wet through after a day or would be fine for 1-2 night trips?

$25 for 40 pair…should last quite some time :)
Anyone have experience with these and can comment on the weight?
